# StoreShift

> StoreShift is a WordPress plugin that migrates Shopify stores to WooCommerce. It reads directly from the Shopify Admin API and writes to the WordPress database — no third-party servers involved. One-time purchase, no subscriptions, no per-migration fees.

## What it is

StoreShift is a self-hosted WordPress plugin for Shopify to WooCommerce migration. Store owners install it in WordPress, authorize their Shopify store via OAuth, and run six data importers from the WordPress admin dashboard: products, categories, coupons, URL redirects, orders, and customers.

Product images are automatically downloaded from Shopify and sideloaded into the WordPress media library. URL redirects from Shopify (/products/slug) are imported and served as 301s from WordPress (/product/slug), preserving SEO equity. The plugin uses cursor-based pagination against Shopify's API and handles stores of any size without timeouts.

## What migrates

- Products: simple and variable, images sideloaded to WordPress media library (all plans)
- Categories: custom and smart collections to WooCommerce product categories (all plans)
- Coupons: Shopify discount codes / price rules to WooCommerce coupons (Starter+)
- URL redirects: Shopify redirect rules imported and served as 301s from WordPress (Starter+)
- Orders: full order history, line items, billing/shipping addresses, status mapping (Pro+)
- Customers: WordPress user accounts with WooCommerce billing/shipping meta (Pro+)

## What does not migrate

- Theme or design (must be set up separately in WordPress)
- Custom Shopify metafields
- Gift card balances
- Shopify blog posts
- Third-party Shopify app data
- Customer passwords (migrated customers receive a WordPress password-reset email)
